Camouflage Art by Desiree Palmen

Desiree Palmen is a Dutch artist who was born in 1963 and she has studied at the Academy of Arts and the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. She lives and works in Rotterdam and her art works are based around camouflage photos. She is very famous for her artworks may be called “The act of being unseen and undetected”. To create all the uniqueness to her art works   Palmen photographs an accurate location and paints the image of the place onto a suit by hand and some person then wears the completed suit, while posing in the original location – trying to blend into the space as much as possible. She is unique in each step of her painting. In drawings she supplemented her own elucidation to scientific facts. Palmen has showed great interest in biology and geology. She exhibited her art works in natural history surroundings and in other museums more often than in the art museums.
